Other Pasture Maintenance Services
We believe in bettering your pasture through care and concern —
Chain Harrowing
The purpose of harrowing is to break up the soil lightly without destroying it, in addition to breaking up clods of manure and lumps of soil. By doing so nitrogen has the ability to be present in the soil again. This is especially important for horse owners before manure levels increase.
This service is especially suited, in conjunction with aeration, to be used before and after seeding.
Ripping and Rototilling
This process is used in large gardens and large bare areas to control annuals and some perennials, and is a well known ground-prep process. Tillage kills simple perennials that multiply by seed, but will spread creeping perennials that increase by creeping stems. Creeping perennials are the most difficult weeds to control. It's therefore important to use a combination of continuous tillage, repeated mowing, to control an infested field.
